Mixing different gauges of wire 
  I just did an electrical job where I spliced in about 2' of 'normal' gauge elec. wire (#14?) in a long run of heavier elec. wire (#10?). Everything seems to be working fine, but I wonder whether mixing the different gauges of wire poses any fire risk. Anyone have any thoughts on that?

ATTIC INSULATION

240 volt wiring for wall heater 
  I need to wire a wall mounted electric heater. I have the breaker, heater, wire and thermostat. What is the wiring configuration since the thermostat and heater each have two wires and the wire from the box and breaker is three wire cable in order to get the 240 volts

toilet flush valve closes before a good flush 
  the flush valve float seems to fall down and close before the big flush. if i hold the handle and keep the float from falling closed then i'll get the good flush... what can i do to adjust this? ... i replaced the old one with this new one and it's not working as it should...
